J.A.C.K.

J.A.C.K., the third studio album from the Texas pop-punk outfit Forever the Sickest Kids, is full of the youthful exuberance that's gained the band a devoted following. The frenetic opener, "Chin Up Kid," and the energetic anthem "Nice to Meet You" are powerful demonstrations of the band's thrashing guitars, powerhouse drums, and catchy vocal melodies. But other tunes—like the acoustic "My Friends Saved Me" and the insistent first single, "Nikki" (cowritten by Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump)—break out of the pop-punk formula and show just how much the band has matured.
