I LOVE this show. The weather was nice and cool and RAQ melted our faces :) They almost pulled off an instrumental firsts et with the exception of the Will Run opener and the One-Eyed Jack set closer :)
And FWIW, that echo the other reviewer hears is the bands own echo/reverb on their onstage mics, its def not a natural echo from the lake or my mics, because I ran hypers SOO close to the stage DFC/FOB that an echo from the lake would be impossible :) That was definitely intended by the band :)
So enjoy this wonderful show by RAQ that was only faulted by the PA/Power going out in the One-Eyed Jack first set closer, and CRANK IT LOUD because the sound is also superb :) Enjoy!

Bias Warning: This was my first time out to see Raq, and I may not be prepared to offer up a fair review because I had such a good time.
That being said, I thought this was one of the better shows I'd seen in the last year. Raq's blend of acid jazz, prog rock, soulfull jam, and other elements is right up my listening ally. Experiencing them with the vibe and big sound only a live performance can provide. I think this recording does quite well capturing this evening. The echo from the lake comes through a little bit in some parts, pretty cool if you're watching from the beach, but it might detract from the quality (if I'm wrong here it's only because I'm ignorant). The crowd banter is also a little annoying at points, but any time you get more than two wasted people together they'e going to bother somebody. This is an otherwise excellent recording.
A hot show on a still cool night in the wilderness of Ohio! Many thanks to everyone there, especially Raq and Bean.
