Marc Roberge performed at Dreamland on the island of Nantucket in Massachusetts. The venue bills itself as a Film, Theatre & Cultural Center and the performance was the last in a series of three artists playing a benefit concert to support Whale Aid, which is a program of the Whale Sanctuary Project which seeks to provide aid to captive and free-ranging cetaceans in need through hands-on assistance and leadership, shared expertise and education. Whale Aid is dedicated to protecting each cetacean's ability to thrive in a natural habitat.

The other performers for the evening were Chadwick Stokes of Dispatch and Matt Quinn of Mt. Joy and the venue had great acoustics for these types of singer/songwriter sets. I have to give a special tip-of-the hat to Tall Paul who was running the sound for the venue for being such a class act in supporting this novice taper.

While I did attempt my first board recording with the Zoom H4n Pro it is unlikely that I will use that file in any final mix given that my settings were off and the quality was not as good as this capture I've uploaded here - which was taken directly from the board to USB. I've also got a recording from my field recorder which was placed in the audience and - assuming the quality is good on it - I will ultimately mix that with this board recording to provide something more nicely blended with the crowd reactions and true acoustics of the venue.
